Municipalities of Aurora Province (BALER AURORA)


Aurora is divided into eight Municipalities, namely  Baler, Dipaculao, Casiguran, Dingalan, Maria aurora, San Luis, Dinalungan and Dilasag.



BALER, AURORA PHILIPPINES

BALER is formerly called as ‘KINAGUNASAN’  but later on after the tidal wave  that happen on december  1735,  the parish priest of casiguran decided to rename it as ‘BALER’. Baler is considered as the center of industry in aurora, this is called as the provincial capital of aurora, it has a total land area of  92.55km2  . Baler is the most productive and progressive town in aurora. It is also the center  of tourism because of the business establishments and resorts. It has a population of 10,000. It is by the help of  Mayor Arthur  J. Angara. It is divided in 13 barangays.

*BALER  TOURIST SPOTS
·               Baler bay (sabang beach)- located at Brgy. Sabang, Baler Aurora. It is perfect for surfing, so that it is called as the surfing capital of aurora.



·         Ermita Hill – also located at Brgy. Sabang, Baler Aurora. You can see here the largest grotto in aurora.  It also a park and wildlife park, where you can see different kind of animals.


·         Manuel L. Quezon Park – This park is named in the Honor of the late President Manuel L. Quezon. Many of the artifacts here are the owned by Quezon. The park also has a statue of Quezon. The place of birth of Quezon.




·         Church of Baler  - it is the biggest church here in aurora, and the center of christianism. It is build in 1890’s.

·         Museo de baler –  Artifacts of the revolution between the Spanish and American wars are place here in the Museo de baler.

  • ·         Manuel L. Quezon, the 1st  President of the Philippine Commonwealth.
  • ·    Aurora Aragon-Quezon, she is the former first lady of the Philippines(spouse of President Manuel L. Quezon).
  • ·         Edgardo J. Angara , the former senate president of the Philippines.
  • ·         Bellaflor Angara-Castillo,  House of Majority Leader.
